Family and Community Engagement in Schools for English Learners

The Latino Family Literacy Project™ provides Family and Community Engagement programs for Schools.  School staff can attend training to provide meaningful programs for Spanish Speaking Parents of ELL students. Staff can attend an in-person workshop or an online webinar to works= with parents using a culturally relevant and unique model for reading, vocabulary, and English development.  We have trained providers throughout 20 states.

The Family and Community Engagement programs are designed to establish family reading routines for Spanish speaking or English speaking parents and their children at your school site. Teachers learn a language acquisition method and a step-by-step literacy instruction process. It involves family reading for Hispanic parent involvement, vocabulary development, and English language development for parents and their children.
